Care & Welfare

The Department for Education and Employment and the Welsh Office guidance make it clear that schools and colleges have an important role to play in the protection of children against abuse.

This is confirmed by the Policy of Conwy County Borough Council, which sets out the necessary procedures to be followed by all staff.

Ysgol Babanod T. Gwynn Jones therefore has a duty to refer any concerns about the wellbeing of pupils to the Social Services Department and School Medical Officer for further advice.
